How to buy concert tickets in Korea from abroad

Find the event-specific global seller, prepare identity checks, and confirm payment and ticket collection before booking travel.

Start with one event, not a ticket website

Write down the artist, city, performance date and venue. Open the artist or promoter’s announcement and follow the seller link from that notice. A search result for a similarly named tour may be for another city or year.

Check whether the organizer links to a global sale for this exact event. A seller operating an English website does not mean every Korean listing is available to overseas buyers. If you only have a domestic link, keep overseas eligibility marked as unconfirmed until the event notice or seller support resolves it.

Prepare before the sale opens

Use the seller’s own instructions to create your account and complete any required verification. Check the spelling and order of your name against the identification required for that event. Do not assume every show accepts the same document, screenshot or digital copy.

Separate membership purchase, membership verification and presale booking. They may have different windows, and paying for a membership does not itself confirm a ticket. Record each deadline in Korea Standard Time, then convert it for your home time zone.

Treat payment and a confirmed booking as separate steps

Check payment methods and card authentication with the actual global seller before sale day. A card authorization or bank notification alone does not prove a booking completed. Look for the order in your seller account and save its reference.

If checkout times out, check order history before paying again. Keep the error message and contact official support about an uncertain charge. Never send a passport scan, card number or ticket barcode to a stranger offering to resolve the problem.

Decide what can be booked before your ticket

Compare the cost of flexible flights and accommodation with the amount you could lose if you do not secure entry. Our planning rule is to treat unconfirmed admission as a reason to keep travel flexible, not as a reason to buy from an unknown resale account.

Before paying, read the event’s collection, identity, age, transfer and cancellation conditions. Store the original notice with your confirmation. Review it again before departure because operational notices can change.

Your five-line booking record

Keep: the official event URL; the exact session in KST; the booking reference; the required ID and collection method; and the cancellation deadline with its time zone. Store this privately. Do not paste it into a publicly shared travel-plan link.

Official references and further checks

This guide is our planning framework. Event notices and provider terms control the actual booking. Examples are illustrative, not live prices or timetables.
